Saving Custom Templates

Any block you build in BF Blocks can be saved as a template and reused across projects — on the same site or exported to others.

Saving a Block as a Template

  1. Open the block in the BF Blocks builder.
  2. Click the ⋮ More options menu in the top-right of the builder.
  3. Select Save as Template.
  4. Enter a template name and assign a category (or create a new one).
  5. Click Save Template. The template appears in your private template library.

Managing Your Templates

Navigate to BF Blocks → Templates → My Templates to see all templates you've saved.

  • Edit template: click the template name to open it in the builder.
  • Rename: use the three-dot menu → Rename.
  • Delete: use the three-dot menu → Delete. This only removes the template — it does not affect any blocks already inserted from it.
  • Export: use the three-dot menu → Export as JSON.

Templates vs. blocks

A template is a blueprint. Inserting a template creates a new block — editing the template later does not affect blocks already inserted from it.
